International Open Forum on transformative economies is coming!

WSFTE 2020 is, any time more, a real fact. More than 300 people from around the world are meeting from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th April at University of Barcelona to debate together around transformative economies: another world already exists!

It will be during the first international meeting towards WSFTE 2020. Although participation in assemblies and debates will be restricted to the people invited by the organizations who ar part of the process, we want to offer an open activity: the International Open Forum on transformative economies, that will take place on Friday 5th, 19 hrs, in Aula Magna of University of Barcelona (Plaça Universitat).

We will have a series of talks about different movements and transformative actions of the economy: feminist economies and gender perspective, the commons, agroecology and food sovereignty movement, social and solidarity economies, and also education, investigation and public policies.

But they will not be masterclasses as we are used to: any of the speakers will have a maximum of ten minutes for his/her speech, as we want them to be dynamic and understandable by any public.

In this International Open Forum will talk:

Florencia Partenio (Feminist economies)

Rogério Dalló (Social and Solidarity economies)

Marta Guadalupe Rivera (Agroecology and food sovereignty)

Mònica Garriga (Commons)

Bernardo Caamal Itzá (Education)

Nancy Neatman (Public policies)

Fernando Paniagua (Xarxa d’Economia Solidària de Catalunya)

Marian Díez (Red de Redes de la Economía Alternativa y Solidaria)

Pierrette Memong (Red Africana de la Economía Social Solidaria (RAESS) - Red Intercontinental de Promoción de la Economía Social y Solidaria)

Also, as we understand transforming power of arts and culture, any of the speeches will be followed by a music performance. Musicians so diverse as

Maria Rodés

Pau Rodríguez

Ahylin Bruno

Simonal Bie

Anna Pantinat

Julian Saldarriaga

Txell Neddermann

Adriano Galante

have already confirmed their participation.

We want you to participate and be present at this Open Forum to know more about transformative economies, and enjoy a diversity of voices, linked by background music.
