To devise an event like the World Social Forum of Transformative Economies (WSFTE) requires from our part to be consistent with the objective of taking a paradigm-change pathway. Therefore, the Forum organizing team strives to implement high transparency standards when communicating the strategy, criteria, sources and procedures for financing the process towards the WSFTE 2020.
At present, we are in a scope evaluation and design face for the 2019-2020 budget. We envision three prospects sources of funding: income generated by the WSFTE own activities, representing less than 50% of the budget; Transformative Economies’ contributions and; Contributions in the form of grants and collaborative agreements from Public Institutions, Social Transformation Projects and Foundations, mainly philanthropic and progressive.
Regarding the funding institutions, our common vision is to consider them more than allies in the process; we encourage them to play an active role by providing their perspective on economic change and more ethical and sustainable finances.
In the following section you will see the incomes and expenditures for the 2018-2019 period.
