Reflection from the Feminist Confluence in the Context of COVID19 FEMINIST ECONOMY IN A WORLD IN TRANSFORMATION

During these exceptional times of confinement to try and halt the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, our societies continue to face the everyday challenge of taking care of life amidst these uncertain times, whilst not losing sight of the immediate future in a world that is not the same and is experiencing rapid transformation.

Build with us the answers to capitalism

The Covid-19 has unleashed an unprecedented health, social, political and economic emergency worldwide. To this, we must add that we are also experiencing an environmental crisis that is destroying our planet, as well as the violation of basic human rights such as precarious work. All of this is due to the fact that capitalism places profit and self-interest at the centre of its activity. That is why transformative economies know that we are the only viable response to these crises, because we put people, the environment, life and care at the centre of our activity.

WFSTE continues to move forward

After the communication of the suspension of the presential event of the FSMET in June, several weeks have passed in which the networks, organizations and collectives continue working and articulating themselves. Last Thursday, April 16th, the Coordinating Committee (CC) of the WSFTE met to see how to advance in this new context and the response was unanimous: from the Transformative Economies we have to work for the construction of an Agenda in the new post-pandemic context, now more than ever!

Environmental justice and economic justice to save life on the plante: Call from WSFTE to participate on Social Summit for Climate

The world is literally burning because of the ecological, economic and social crisis caused by a predatory capitalism, and a neoliberal system generating inequalities, concentrating wealth in 1% of the world's population at the detriment of the impoverishment of the 99 % remaining.

It is impossible to plan solutions to the climatic emergency of sustainability without including economic justice and without respect for all living beings on the planet. The challenges we face and consequently the solutions are intrinsically linked.
